Coralline Algae

Day 5 of my rockpool photos and todays shot is of coralline algae.

We saw quite a few different varieties of coralline algae but this one is so pretty.

We are so lucky that the water here is so clear, and I can get clear photos in the rockpools.

Also, in this photo you can see various sea snails and the white stuff in the top left of the picture is of dead seaweed.

@beryl no, I am standing on the rock with the camera pointing downwards so I am directly above it looking into the water. I did well not to fall in because the rocks were slippery. I did get wet feet on occasion though

I used to love rock pools when we went in our holidays to Scotland….climbing over rocks to find the limpets, crabs etc. This looks a very pretty pool.
