Port Chalmers

After a very long and busy day in Dunedin we returned to Port Chalmers and back to the ship.

This photo was taken from our balcony on the Diamond Princess cruise ship.

It looks very high up Babs. Great shot.

What a lovely scene ,although I can see it is a busy road towards the port , the glimpse of the sea beyond and the church wit its steeple takes your eye away from the immediate buildings !

@beryl It isn't a very busy place, I think the population of Port Chalmers is only about 3000, Dunedin is the main city.

I have just scanned back through your Dunedin pictures, thanks for sharing them. We lived there for 5 years in the 70's. A reminder of happy days. this shot is looking back to where we lived along the harbour.

@john39 Glad my pictures brought back memories John. I loved this area of New Zealand and Dunedin was fabulous. I will definitely visit again. Because we were on a cruise we didn't get as much time there as I would have liked.

Here is a photo of our ship taken from one of the tender boats as we were returning. You can see two tender boats to the left of the ship just in front of us and each tender boat carries 100 people. http://365project.org/onewing/365/2015-12-19
