Posting early today as our Christmas Day is just beginning. It is 8 am and I am just having my morning cuppa before David and I open our presents.
For some of you it will still be Christmas Eve. My sister lives in the UK and it is 9 pm Christmas Eve there.
I phoned her yesterday to see how she is coping because she has Covid and will be spending Christmas alone.
She is feeling fine, is double vaccinated and had her booster but feeling a bit down in the dumps because she is by herself.
We are spending Christmas by ourselves too as Covid cases are rising. David's brother and his wife were coming for Christmas but have cancelled their visit until March as they live interstate.
I am sure hundreds and thousands of people will be spending Christmas alone this year due to Covid, but it is what it is and no good feeling down about it. At least we are still breathing and the isolation won't last for ever.
Stay safe everyone and when you are able, just give your loved ones a hug and be thankful for what you have rather than what you don't have.
I am just going to see what Santa has left me under the tree now so Merry Christmas to all my 365 friends from David and myself.

Happy Christmas Babs….hope your day is all you wish for! Just gone back & read your words properly…I was rushed before! You’re right re covid as long as we are alive & kicking we should be grateful. Your poor sister on her own…you must feel bad for her but they have cut the isolation to Seven days instead of ten so that might help a bit. Hope your & David are enjoying your day….quiet is good sometimes!

Merry Christmas Babs. Real English weather here, dull grey and raining. However we went out for an amazing lunch and wonderful to spend time with some of the family. This included granddaughter just 2yrs old who happily put trifle cream on a piece of sausage and demanded more!!

Spoke to various relatives on the phone so kept in touch remotely with them all.
