Newcastle Street Art by onewing

Newcastle Street Art

Thanks so much for the fabulous response to yesterday's painting by David. He is really chuffed that you liked it.

To follow on from that I thought it would be nice to post a follow up train theme photo of street art. I took this photo a couple of weeks ago in Newcastle.

It is quite sad though because the rail line to Newcastle has now gone.
This is very interesting street art Babs

A great capture of the era. It is a shame about the train line. Most likely one of the biggest mistakes made by government.

What wonderfully talented people some of the street artists are!

What a fabulous piece of street art. The train almost looks real, and the colours are so eye-catching. So sad t hat the train line has gone. Maybe one day a group of enthusiastic volunteers will be allowed to revive it!

What fab Street art

Great street art. It looks so much better than just initials graffitied everywhere.

Street art is great as it cheers up a plain wall. Like in the UK we have lost some of our train lines. In an era of trying to reduce car usage due to global warming it seems some perverse decisions have been made in your country and ours

There is some marvellous street art in Newcastle. All of the works are commissioned and really brighten up the streets. We have a Hit the Bricks festival and artists come from all over the world to take part in the street art.
Not so sure about David doing street art though Hazel. How these guys see to paint pictures this size I have no idea. David needs a much smaller canvas.

Those are some cool murals!

How the painting alters the perspective of the building but it improves a bland structure.
