I took this photo a couple of weeks ago when we were at Morpeth. I think the chap on the end has possibly been to the ginger beer tasting a couple of times before by the look of him. ha ha.
David looks a little bit like him today too. Not because he has been drinking ginger beer, but because climbing ladders and painting has taken its toll on his back.

He has spondylolisthesis and one of his vertebrae dislocates every now and then due to an old injury when he fractured his spine during his RAF years. Consequently, I am chief cook and bottle washer for the time being until he is fit again.
I will be a bit limited for time on 365 for the next couple of weeks because I am busy painting and decorating etc. We have a deadline now and everything has to be done before the 30 May when the new carpets are installed.

Sorry for the group reply, but I am just off to start the painting. May need another cuppa first though. I am painting the wooden balustrade between the hallway and the living room and it is a devil of a job. No wonder I have got a headache and a crick in my neck. David's back is slightly better today and he may be able to tackle the second coat of the walls in the living room. If not I will have to do it. The room is quite large, 6 metres x 5.5 metres. Just the second coat on the hallway and one door, a 2.6 metre window frame to do then and then we will be finished.
@ladymagpie I'm with you Heather. I painted the whole of our last house (12 rooms) one hallway and an upstairs landing. Then I tacked the outside woodwork and fences. I am over painting, but David is one of these people who says "I can do that". He forgets that he is getting older and has problems with his back.
@dianeburns@radiogirl@bkbinthecity@golftragic@busylady@pcoulson@hermann Sorry for the late reply, but we had a day out yesterday and a day painting free. David's back is much easier today but we are going slowly. You are right Judith he really has been a wounded soldier. That is what we used to call my daughter when she got into so many scrapes when she was a child.
Almost finished the painting now.
I thought you were back in the UK when I saw Morpeth but the sign style is not British. Well spotted. My Dad had spondylolisthesis so David has my sympathy.
