I do hope you are ok Babs. This such a beautiful ocean shot. Just made me laugh as we are usually used to donkeys giving rides on the beach. I wonder if this would catch on in the UK?
Hope all goes well with you hospital visit ,and an enjoyable evening out . A lovely capture and like @rookynook immediately thought of our donkey rides in the UK !! -- You must remember them Babs !!
I love riding on a camel and would love to do a day trip on one. I love how they sway and feel much more comfortable than a horse. We have them down at Victor Harbor and they also do trips through the vinyards and down the Coorong. Hope all goes well tomorrow
This is so amazing- I'm used to seeing camels in the Middle East but not Australia! Very cool. They are fun to ride on so I understand why they are so popular. fav
I like this a lot. I once edited a book on camel health and recall being very surprised at reading of the not insignificant camel population in Australia.
For some reason that link won't work for me Babs, but I googled it anyway and read about it on wiki... the only country with a feral camel population! I had no idea it was so vast!! I was also reading about how they put camel meat in dog food but then stopped as they found it caused liver disease in some dogs due to the plants the camels eat. I am curious to know - can you buy camel meat in the supermarkets Babs? and is it expensive?
I am not sure when this was posted but in 2013 the number of feral camels in Australia reached 600,000.
Congratulations on TT!
