No time for photos today because we have been at the Newcastle Eye Hospital. David has glaucoma and he had to have eye tests this morning. I was the responsible adult doing the driving etc because they put drops in his eyes to dilate his pupils and he can't see for a while. His vision has returned now though.
I am posting photos this week from our visit to Hunter Valley Gardens.
Here you can see Winnie the Pooh just about to tuck into some honey.
Lovely shot ... Love Winnie the Pooh ... have you seen the Christopher Robin movie ... it is a lovely story ...
Winnie the Pooh is a happy memory for me as Kylie use to call him Runnie the Pooh when she was little...
Good old Winnie! Smiled at "responsible adult." When my hubby had tests a few months ago and needed a responsible adult to drive him because of the anaesthetic, my teenager burst out laughing and asked where we were going to find one of those.....
I love Pooh and this looks like a lovely display. Sorry to hear of David’s eye troubles, you don’t need more dramas. We’re in central Burma now enjoying the mighty Irrawaddy and an excellent cruise. Only drawback has been very dodgy wifi. This is the first time I’ve been able to access 365 for a week.
Harry has these drops in his eye too periodically. Not that he has glaucoma but his family is liable so they keep a real good eye on him! Ha ha sorry about the pun!! 😀 Winnie looks great!
Love anything to do with Winnie the Pooh...huge pot of honey....My husband has glaucoma too & has just had his test done last week.sun glasses/no glare...thinking of you both...
@golftragic The dramas never seem to end do they. Glad you are enjoying your holiday. I will email you as soon as the world stops spinning. Running around like a blue a@#$ed flea at the moment.
@megpicatilly@happypat@louannwarren@happysnaps@nicolecampbell Thanks. David has been given extra drops to try and he has to have another test in January. Hopefully if the pressure drops he should be okay with just the drops. He doesn't want to think about the other option at the moment.
@casablanca The 'responsible adult' line in our house is a standing joke.
I am usually the driver if we go out socially because I rarely drink. David doesn't drink much, but even a couple of glasses of wine you never know if you are over the limit.
I was the responsible adult one night a couple of years ago when we were at a party at a friends house. On leaving I tripped over the step in their courtyard and landed on my hand. Fractured my wrist and ended up in A&E. All this on water and pineapple juice. Every time the responsible adult line is mentioned now we both say Uh Oh!
@onewing sorry to hear ur in a whirl Babs, maybe things will settle down one day. Don’t worry about emailing me until the very end of December, I may not be able to get any till then. Take care.
