After I had finished taking photos of eyes and fish I was wondering what to do next while we were waiting when the receptionist said I could go upstairs where there were more comfy chairs and make myself a cup of tea while I waited.
I wandered up there but it didn't look very inviting and they only had UHT milk and I have skim milk in tea. (Can't stand UHT) so I gave the cuppa miss. I did spot these interesting lights by the stairway though. There were three lights but the angle wasn't very good to get all three of them so I focussed on just the one and took a photo of that.
I agree re the HRT - oops sorry -I mean UHT milk !! the smell of it as you raise the cup to the mouth is revolting ! A nice find - these wonderful light fittings are very fitting for an eye hospital - a very modern take on an eye , I think !
Nice chandeliers with lots of lights. Nobody would want them nowadays - my daughter , when she refurbished the house she bought 3 years ago threw everything away and settled for spot lights instead. I would have taken a black coffee.
If you look around and it can be hard in a setting as a hospital, there is something nice to look . Well done, great find this is a pretty chandelier. Good luck with the hospital visits and the patient.
I think you found the right compromise in settling for one chandelier over the three. It's probably a stronger composition this way because there are less baubles for the eyes to look at and some blank spots for them to rest. I like the reflection in the center too.
Thanks for your well wishes for David. His trip to the eye hospital was just a routine visit because he has glaucoma and has to have the pressure levels in his eyes tested each year. He is okay on that one but apparently has the beginning of a cataract on one eye now so that will have to be monitored. Nothing drastic at present though
@onewing I had cataract surgery. I was in and out in less than an hour and could see right away….no eye patches or anything, just a lot of eye drops for a month. So glad I had it done.
I can't drink coffee I am allergic to it.
