Fingal Bay by onewing

Fingal Bay

We have been busy clearing up the garden today, raking leaves and branches after strong winds yesterday. We did manage to get a chap out to remove a few limbs from our huge blackbutt tree that had broken in the storms a few weeks ago. We couldn't get anyone out until now due to lockdown. The chap who lopped the tree also chopped quite a lot of the logs for us to keep and put in our log shed ready for next winter.

We have also put the rubbish from the shed and garage on the grass verge at the front of our property for the bulk waste collection tomorrow. So it has been quite a productive day.

I took this picture when we went for a walk along Fingal beach last week just before lockdown ended. I noticed the footprints in the sand and thought the invisible man must be walking the beach too.
Great capture of this beautiful bay and beach. How wonderful to have it all to yourself, except for the invisible man ;-)
Do you have to pay to have your junk removed? They have a similar service in Germany, but you have to pay accordingly.

Nobody on the beach except for you and those mysterious footprints. Did he wander into the ocean? Or just disappear. Great capture.

@ludwigsdiana No it is free. We have two bulk waste removals from our property a year and the rest of the time we can take it down to the recycle centre for free if it is able to be sold on or the waste transfer station if it has to go to landfill. Bulk rubbish and garden rubbish can be disposed of there for free once a month, but if you take it out of those times you have to pay and I think they charge about $30 per carload outside the free dates.

@cdcook48 He could have wandered into the ocean but of course we didn't see him ha ha. I didn't see a rogue surfboard in the water so I guess he didn't go surfing.

Beautiful beach shot. How different it must look in the middle of Summer. Those foot prints make you think who she/he is, where she/he is going and many other guesses.

You should be playing the music Fingals Cave with this photo….I think it would suit! The tide coming in & out would fit nicely.

@yaorenliu The invisible man.

@terryliv It was still chilly for this time of year, but today it is beginning to finally warm up.
Forgot all about the Aussie Bird Count. Just a bit busy at the moment sorting out the garage and the shed.
