For the next few days my animal photos are going to be photos which I took at Dubbo Zoo. I had never been there until recently and it is a brilliant zoo.
This elephant I spotted a couple of times as we walked round the zoo. He had been playing with a huge log and had been carrying it around and moving it from one place to another and rolling it along the ground. Eventually I spotted him again a couple of hours later and here he was sitting down. He must have been exhausted after his playing.
It always fascinates me that elephant that is so huge but always so cute.
Sit? I thought he is doing Elephant Yoga. Looking forward to seeing you animal shots.
Oh for goodness sake. This is adorable. I soooo love elephants and respect their amazing intelligence and emotions! Wonderful creatures. Fun shot looking forward to more!

Thank you all so much for your lovely comments and favs. Sorry for the group reply again, but I woke up this morning feeling not too good. I had a splitting headache and a bit of a temperature. I felt as though I woke up wearing someone else's head and it didn't fit as good as mine. Have been falling asleep all day and now I am going to have a hot bath and then off to bed. Sure I will be feeling better tomorrow.
I have got a few pics of animals taken at Dubbo Zoo which I will be showing for my monthly theme. I agree with some of the comments here it is a brilliant zoo.
Marnie - we were on our way to Coonabarabran and stayed off at Dubbo for a couple of days en route, so glad we did.
So gorgeous and fav. We are planning a trip to the Dubbo Zoo next week, we can't wait. Did you stay there? We thought it was a bit expensive so we are planning to stay at the caravan park.
@cathy366 Thanks so much for the fav Cathy. I see by my emails that you have commented on quite a few of my pics all in one go. Sorry if I miss saying thanks for the earlier ones, but I really do appreciate the time you have spent checking my pics out and also thanks for the favs.
Been a bit under the weather for a few days, but am feeling much better now.
In answer to your question, no we didn't stay at Dubbo Zoo. I know someone who did and they weren't too impressed. We stayed at Dubbo for 3 days on or way to Coonabarabran and got a 2 day pass to the zoo. You need 2 days to get round it all on foot. we did half one day and the other half the next. Hope you have a great time and look forward to the pictures.
