As Friday is always people day in my main album I thought I would do a people photo for my pairs theme too.
Apparently my family were Vikings, way back in history and they arrived in the UK in the early 1700s. Hope they weren't any of the raping and pillaging gang. Oops!
Apparently my surname means seafarer and I have certainly kept up that aspect of my line. I have spent my life travelling around the world.
Thanks for everyone who has commented on my photos over the last couple of days. As you will know I have been a bit out of action. Hope to catch up over the weekend.
A wonderful reminder of your family history ! As a true Celt I wouldn't be too happy at your arrival in Britain would I !! Love the pairing especially the decorated shield !
Great pairing. Having a Viking past sounds very exotic. I haven't r ally delved into my past. But I'm sure there is some convict action in my family :)
Frightening pairing here Babs you were very brave capturing these images, Hope you are feeling better and getting over your recent visit to the hospital, not a pleasant experience I'm sure;)
@888rachel No real carrot red hair, but Zoe's hair was auburn, I think that was from David's side of the family though. I think my Viking past got a bit watered down over the centuries. So I am probably more of a bitsa now.
@karlow75 Most Australians have got at least one convict in their past. I have a relative who got married in the Register office in Melbourne in the late 1800s as a spinster when in fact she was already married to someone who had buggered back off to the UK and left her behind in Australia, so she was a bigamist. She went on to have 12 children with her "non husband"
@jackie8 Yes I had a colonoscopy and gastroscopy, both ends. ha ha. I have to have them every 2 years because I have diverticulitis and also I have polyps in my stomach which they can't remove and polyps in my colon which they can remove. I had two removed on Friday and a biopsy done on a suspect one in my stomach. I may have to have part of my colon removed in the future because of the diverticulitis but I am hanging on to it at the moment. The medication is probably the same, but different name here. doesn't make it taste any better though.
@eyesmile Thanks Gena. That helmet was so heavy. I had a chat to him later and got to try it on. I am now 6 inches shorter with the weight of it. ha ha.
