Street Art - Day 1

Last year I added a second album of photos to my 365 project and in this album I did a monthly theme.

In January last year I posted a month of street art and I thought I would start my second year of monthly themes with the same subject.

All of the photos this month were taken in Newcastle, New South Wales and most are part of the annual Hit the Bricks festival. Street artists from around Australia converge on Newcastle and are set loose with a blank wall to do their artworks on. This is the second year of the festival.

I thought I would start my month of street art with Newcastle based artist, Stephen Evans, who goes by the name of Skubz Mope. This street art is one of his works on Bellevue Street in Newcastle.

So cool!! I love it too! I don't think we have enough street art in Salem for too many days in a row of photos. Probably would have better luck in POrtland, but couldn't go every day. Love the color in this one. The talent is incredible.
