A lovely weekend with my friend Phil. As they say old friends are the best friends!! So much to talk about and laugh about!!
There is an exhibition of clothes at Chatsworth at the moment so we decided to visit especially as Phil had never been to Chatsworth before.
An interesting exhibition but I forgot how crowded it got at the weekends and there were so many tourists there - coaches full - and it became very crowded in the house which was a shame as you couldn't get close to some of the exhibits. The lighting was also very dark in all the rooms with the clothes lit by spotlights. Sadly this meant you couldn't see the fabulous paintings on the walls or the furniture.
I do love Chatsworth and will be visiting again when the exhibition is over but I will be going mid week when there are fewer visitors.
