Making a wooden spoon by pamknowler

Making a wooden spoon

Still at Ross Farm watching the carpenter making wooden spoons. How fascinating to watch the spoon take shape. Of course I had to buy one to bring home - who would have thought a wooden spoon could be a work of art?

I am slowly going through all my holiday photos getting ready to make a book. I have already made one book which was quickly made from all the images I had already uploaded to FB. As it was 50% off I took up the offer. I now want to make another book using more of my images. I find people like to browse through a coffee table book rather than look at photos on a computer. I hope you don't mind me sharing a few of these images as I go through the processing.

Many thanks for your lovely comments on the wagon and horses - very much appreciated!!
Woodworking is such a wonderful art. Of course, you had to buy a spoon!

I like your photo which reminds me of my grandad’s workshop years ago. (I am the opposite as I prefer seeing images on the computer!)

The ability to make spoons and such highly crafted items is a gift. Pleased you couldn’t go home without one ;-)

Love the way you've caught the warm tones of the workshop.

How wonderful to see a craftman at work.
Gee years ago everyone would have had a few of those in their kitchen draw...lol
God knows how many of them my mother broke on me growing up.
Lovely lighting and details.

Skilled wood-craft is wonderful to watch and products are so good to see, touch and, usually, to use.
