This is Wicksteed Park which is a park opened in 1916 "To provide free play for all". Its a large park with woods and a lake and now it has an area for Fairground rides. It is a very sad place at this time of the year as all the rides are covered and the place was deserted. In the summer the park is a bustling place where they have concerts in the park and carboot sales most weekends. The fairground rides are very popular with the children. I love this old carousel with its golden horses - sadly they are under wraps for the winter. I thought the B&W suited its air of abandonment!!
@spankyjane@phillchilton@salza Great to have such positive comments especially about my processing which I have always seen as a weakness. Thanks for the Fav Phill!! I am loving this 365 - thanks so much for introducing me to it!!
