This is actually what Finlay was doing this morning - attacking the horses in the funeral procession. He sits and watches the TV the whole time and whenever an animal or bird or cartoon appears he starts to bark and tries to attack it by bashing his nose on the TV screen. There seems to be an animal in every programme or advert. Finlay just sits in front of the TV in waits!! Naughty boy!! If anyone has a cure for this please let me know!!
@darrenboyj@wildwood28@jesperani@httpgeffed@padlock@lucypics@agentzuckerguss@genesis_one@onie many thanks to you all for stopping by and commenting - always appreciated!! Sarah its good to know someone else has this problem with their dog!! All the "doggie" people I know say"Oh my dog ignores the TV". I did meet someone else with a westie and it did the same thing so perhaps its a Westie thing?
Pretty funny! Very alert little guy- never had an animal that watched tv. I did have a cat that hissed when she saw a silhouette of a cat on a new throw pillow.
@mwbc@simster@yonnie Many thanks for your lovely comments!! Finlay doesn't just watch TV he joins in and growls at so many things and then suddenly flies at the TV on the attack!! I keep thinking I need to get a taller base for it to stand on!!
If he wants horse so much isn't it easier just to go to Asda :-)
The only time we had a dog was before we got television so have not observed this behaviour before. Nice composition with the dog captured an a position where it allows you to determine the subject on the screen.
@pamknowler Our Gordie always reacts to animals on TV. He doesn't go for the screen but he does get up on his back legs like Finlay to have a good look. Once the animal shots are over he instantly loses interest.
@kittikat@kjarn@cmt2812 Many thanks for your great comments!! Kate its good to know Finlay is not the only one!! Kitti those animal behaviourists don't know what they are talking about - Finlay watches the TV constantly waiting for something to bark at or try to catch!!
