I turned round after taking my shot of the rail tracks and saw Rosie @rosiekind chatting to this chap. A very smart Chicago gent. He was very pleased to pose for Rosie. I wish I could be as bold as Rosie and actually ask if I could take a photo. Every time I tried a candid shot I got caught out and the person saw me pointing my large camera at them. I need a discreet camera for candids!!
Yes Pam you have definitely been spotted. It is easy to ask people for a photo. I guess I am the right age to be able to get away with it. All you have to say is "You look fantastic can I take your photo" and generally they will say yes. @888rachel
Love the way you have captured this. I would not know what to say to someone and feel so embarrassed if they said no. Do you explain you want the photo to put onto 365?
I'm SO pleased one of these photos was posted! He was *the nicest* man! What a lovely way to remember Chicago...and it's always so pleasant to encounter nice people and strike up a conversation! @aglennc I did get your "laid up" photo and hope you're well on the mend! I've done little but have an amazing time, and set aside the computer nearly entirely while we've been on the road! Settled 24 hrs now in the 'burg, I will be back in touch as I reach back out to one friend after another! Maybe we just need a phone chat next week...we both had a lot to share, and I want to know you're feeling better!
@Weezilou Hey, I'm doing great.... Completely OK. Got staples out last Thursday (and scheduled my 5th total joint replacement surgery for July 25 -- my shoulder! Bone on bone. You sound pretty busy right now. Are you in NS yet? Loving the photos you all are posting re your Chicago photoshoot
xo to ya'll! ♥
