Finlay once again but this time I have taken him into Topaz textures and used some new textures from Taffy. This is a very quick edit just to see if I could get the downloads to work. Thanks to the "idiots guide" sent from Taffy it was very easy!! Do you think he looks like he is floating?
@taffy oh it's so easy when you have great instructions!! LOL! Lovely textures - thanks so much!! Not quite sure if he looks as if he is floating!! LOL!!
@pamknowler He does look like he's floating a bit. I learned from Jane @jgpittenger that the merging of foreground with the background is critical. In this one, he needs something 'firmer' (I think) to be standing on. Maybe by using the move function and increasing the size of the texture a little, he would be more solidly on the darker green 'pad' as if he's on the grassy area in the scene. But an amazing first try with these! I've been fiddling with P3 and Llama...am about to post it. I ended up using the same texture 3 times to get P3 increasingly into the shadows. Then, added on 'horizon' texture to give it a sense of distance. Fun stuff.
@taffy Yes I thought it needed more work. I haven't found the move function yet or increased the size of the texture!! Back to the drawing board!! LOL!! Thanks for your help!!
@jgpittenger I downloaded it from somewhere...can't remember where but the package had 10 images with lines at the horizon -- Photomorphis Distant Horizons Textures. I don't use them often, but every once in awhile they are helpful. Just sent you an email.
