I am so thrilled to be able to upload this shot today!! Rosie took Sarah and myself along the brook to hopefully see the kingfisher she has been getting great photos of. The girls set up their tripods and were laying low in a hollow. I was unable to get down (knee problem) and so stood by a tree behind them. We waited and after about 10 minutes along came the kingfisher!! I am so delighted to have not only seen him - my first this year - but also to have got some great images of him too. Lots of blurry ones also as he moves so quickly!! We saw him three times in total - what delightful little birds they are!

What a delight it would have been to have shared this moment with friends! I love that you folks go out on hunts for this gorgeous little bird! You came away with a beauty, and the sheer joy of the afternoon must have been delight enough! Fantastic!
