Today we visited another rescue centre and found a lovely little whippet :) . We took her a long walk in the fields next to the rescue centre and within a few minutes we knew we had to rescue her :)
She has 'kennel cough' and a minor wound on her head, but she will soon be getting lots of TLC :)
We told the centre we want to adopt her and have started the adoption process. We now have to attend an interview to see if we are suitable for her and if we pass she is ours to adopt !
Oh bless - I love whippets and as a plus point they don't weigh much and are, therefore, less likely to jog your arm when taking photos (a dog characteristic we failed to consider properly!!)
@allie912 Allison, thanks for the comments, we had a whippet for 13 years, whippets / greyhounds / lutchers like to laze around on the furniture , but they also love a nice long walk and a bit of a run :). I think we can do all those :)
@judithg Judith, thanks for your words, whippets can be hard to photograph too, they are quite lively when out ! , plus she's black, getting detail in blackk is almost as hard as white . I'm sure I will manage a few decent shots and just like Monty, I think she might make the odd appearance or two on here :)
