I missed a day on Friday so this is a Saturday picture.
I'm way behind on posting and commenting as my ISP connection has been very poor over the weekend.
We visited Clumber Park on Saturday in North Nottinghamshire, it is in the northern most part of Sherwood Forest. We had a picnic and took our little whippet with us (Ruby).
I wanted to capture the size of the trees as we walked through the woods. I've got a lead in line with the path and a bit of scale to allow you to see how big the trees are.
I've shot this on a long zoom as it seems to show how the forest engulfs the people.
If you look carefully you can see little Ruby on her lead enjoying the walk too.
You may also notice how spring is struggling to make an impact on our trees !
Anyway this is Friday's picture ... a Saturday picture !
@joi Thanks Joi, nice of you to comment :) . No Robin Hood was seen !! In fact rumour has it he never actually ever existed, but don't tell that to the Nottingham Tourist Office !
@gill Thanks Gill, the internet kept dropping again tonight, but i turned my cable modem and router off for about an hour and then rebooted , seems OK now !
The light is a bit dull on the scene, but I do like pictures like this with people contrasting against nature :)
Love silver birch.
Yeah rumour also is that he actually came from and operated in west yorkshire (we have a village and small airport called Robin Hood) - not sure of the details..
It looks like Spring has a long way to travel. Reminds me of a line in a story book I read, "Spring is caught on Winter's farm and can't wake up, poor thing."
