This scene is shot from the opposite side of the road from Saturday's image. I knelt down low (in the rain) to get a good view of the crossing. As you can see the green man was green and the rush to cross the road was in full flow :)
It was a bank holiday in the UK and we were expecting to spend it sat in the garden enjoying a bit of sun. As you can see from the image, it was wet and raining.
We went into Nottingham because we had some 'Tesco vouchers' for 'Bella Italia' that were about to expire. So rather than having a day in the garden we had a meal in a city centre restaurant !! Rather than eating 'el fresco' we sat in the restaurant window people watching !
Shame about the rainy bank holiday but you've turned it to your advantage here. Love the umbrellas and reflections on the street. Great people shot Phil.
Lovely shot, the greyness is lifted by the colourful clothing breaking it all up.
I adore window watching, but mostly it al fresco as we tend to take the whippets with us even in town - they love it! It was lovely weather here.
@swilde thanks Sue, it's surprising how 'rainy days' can sometimes produce nice images :)...btw ...I hit 'delete' rather than 'reply' when I was replying to your comment on my 'walk in the woods picture'...sorrrrrry !!!!
@whippeteer Frances, those whippets of yours are really spoiled, eating el fresco with you in 'town'...how nice ...I think that's a picture opportunity, whippets at a London restaurant !!
great opportunity for people watching/photo taking.
