Just trying to,make out what they are sitting on. Looks like they have a sign either side of them too for pedestrians to walk round them !! One has his tea & a ciggie so he's OK !
great shot phil, there are so many amusing things going on here - the pedestrians sign for two people sitting, the obvious workmen not working... nice prespective
Fab shot! I love the primary colours in this - it makes it very striking. Fav of course. I used to be a big fan of buses in London, but I have found it pretty hard to get a front seat here. One day I must go on a bus photoshoot you are right it is a great vantage point. What lens do you favour? Did you see that Dan Cruickshank tram footage I mentioned?
@phil_howcroft Oh that is a shame there was nother one on tonight all about football you would have loved it - ancient footage of the guy Fatty Falkes who is the reason for the "who ate all the pies" chant he was 6'2" and weight 24 stone but was as nimble as a cat and a great goalie - he was massive! (Sheffield Wednesday or Bolton Wanderers can't remember now c 1902). They also had the first ever footage of ManU on their first ever game they were going to call themselves Manchester Central but decided it sounded too like a railway station!!

oh, i thought they were working. Maybe to your untrained eye it seems they are rest and recuperating, but i expect they are deep in discussion about the logistics of a particularly difficult excavation.

I googled Dan Cruickshank and his film of nottingham, but I cannot find it.
I didn't know who he was until I saw he hosted a BBC2 series on cine films (I saw a few of them while channel hopping).
