Mug of Tea by phil_howcroft

Mug of Tea

Not a very inspiring photo.

Whenever we have a 'cup of tea' at the weekend, we have it in our 'Les Mis' mugs !

Here is my mug, sat on the patio wall after a 'cuppa'.

Les Misérables is probably our fave musical of all time. We've seen it three times in the West End and once on it's UK tour !

If you look carefully you can see a bit of the shed through the trellis.

'one day more' gone in my 365 !
Love Les Miserables!! Great shot

I am ashamed to say I have never seen Les Miserables! I think this is a lovely photo, the vivid blue mug & behind those bright flowers looking like they are growing in your mug , great shot !!! Keep going Phil !!!

Very Zen post Phil - fun to hear about your les miserables weekend tea ceremony :-) lol! Like Pat I know nothing of the musical save the posters advertising it. I had a mad pal Nicole from universiyty she was outrageous but jolly good fun, who used to ridicule it - tho she had never seen it I am sure. We were big Neil Young fans :-). Are the people in it unhappy? And if so why?

I see a continuing motif of the trellis. Where will it turn up next? I like the way the vivid blue stands out against the flowers. Looks like a nice place to linger over your mug of tea.

Love how you've positioned the mug to look as though the flowers are growing in it! Enjoy your relaxing cuppa in your beautiful garden!

@whippeteer yes a 'zen post' francis :) It's a very moving story , with beautiful music...you need to know the plot / synopsis though to understand it as it moves along at quite a pace ...took me my 2nd visit before i fully understood it ....very moving sad ending...many tears shed at the end :(

I love that you have special weekend mugs but I can't stand Les Mis!! However, Adam has decided that he wants a record player (just as everybody in the family has consigned their's to the tip) and we have dusted off our old record collection - rather damp from being in the shed - and guess what is in there?! Neither of us is owning up to it!!

@judithg ha ha judith, I suppose les mis is a bit like bovril....you either like it or you don't ........(not that I'd ever drink bovril !!!) .....we discovered Les Mis when my daughter studied Music at Uni'....in one of her end of term performances the Music dept. did a few Les Mis songs .......and we were hooked from that point onwards :)
