To quote a well known song from back in the day..When it's Spring again I'll bring again / Tulips from ....
the next word is Amsterdam , but well these are tulips from Arnold ....in my back garden.
I've been doing a few shots from unusual perspectives and this one continues in a similar manner to my Ruby and my daffodil shot.
All I did to get this was put my little panny TZ7 on its widest angle, hovered it above the ground and 'shot blind'...after about 30 shots this was probably the best composition I could create.
I would have liked a clean skyline (without the little bit of bush in the bottom left hand corner), but I think the light on the tulip heads is really beautiful
Well done for shooting blind. Lovely light and colors with a gorgeous blue sky for a background! Most suitable for printing, framing and hanging in your home!
I think I must have been inspired by your POV in this photo, as my photo for today was from a similar angle. In answer to your question - yes the apricot tree does fruit. In 2009 we had a record harvest, and as they ripened while I was away visiting Uganda, my husband made all the jam - 40 lbs of it! We didn't have so many last year but enough to make some jam and have some fruit in the freezer.
