Just over a week ago I shared these tulips with you in all their glory. They looked fabulous against the deep blue sky (see link below).
We've has some bad weather over the last 24 hours. It has rained, snowed and sleeted with strong cold winds. The net result of this bad weather is a set of flattened and saddened tulips
Oh dear , never mind they will be bobbing up in the morning I bet you !! No weeds there in your garden Phil although I suppose it's too early yet for those little devils !!!
Aw, poor things. Here in the Seattle area, tulips are just barely starting to bloom. In about two weeks is bloom time for the Tulip Festival, I think the biggest in the US, about an hour north of Seattle.
Maybe they are just having a lie down until the weather improves?! My daffs haven't appeared at all this year - I think the very dry year we had last year was very bad for the bulbs perhaps.
ah poor things, I felt like that on the morning in question - nothing in my defence to protect me from the onslaught of the weather! Snow? in April? hrumph! was freezing cold in Leeds!
