Look what's happened to my tulips :(

Just over a week ago I shared these tulips with you in all their glory. They looked fabulous against the deep blue sky (see link below).

We've has some bad weather over the last 24 hours. It has rained, snowed and sleeted with strong cold winds. The net result of this bad weather is a set of flattened and saddened tulips

My daffs aren't much better either, the've been flattened too.

The wonder of mother nature...beautiful one moment and then it comes along and destroy's what it helped to create
Oh what a shame, Phil. I don't think much could have stood up to the weather we've had and to think we were all in short sleeves last week!

Aww that's a shame it must be so confusing for the plants the weather the way it is

Aww! Can you prop them up to help them out? Such a shame! They were so lovely, too!

I can empathize. This looks like our tulips in the NW. We have had our share of moisture too. However, this does make for a great unique shot!

Aw, poor things. Here in the Seattle area, tulips are just barely starting to bloom. In about two weeks is bloom time for the Tulip Festival, I think the biggest in the US, about an hour north of Seattle.

But this shot shows their bedraggled, wet beauty.

Oh dear - I suppose you could always bring them into the house?

But they are still so very beautiful Phil. Sorry about your weather. We are having warmer days than we had during summer

Maybe they are just having a lie down until the weather improves?! My daffs haven't appeared at all this year - I think the very dry year we had last year was very bad for the bulbs perhaps.

ah poor things, I felt like that on the morning in question - nothing in my defence to protect me from the onslaught of the weather! Snow? in April? hrumph! was freezing cold in Leeds!

I predict they will reassert themselves. Nature doesn't go down without a struggle.
