I was making my hanging baskets and putting my tumbling tomatoes into planters.
My wife brought me a drink of fizzy water with a strawberry floating in it. The bubbles against the strawberry looked pretty cool and called for an instant photo !
I plonked the glass on the decking rail (plonked ...great word) and took a few shots before my camera battery gave up !
I'm impressed that I managed to get the rim of the glass right on the top of the frame (no cropping on the top) and I like the blue sky and its reflections.
It's a shame I didn't notice the little imperfection in the glass which appears near the bottom of the strawberry and catches the eye (Ikea glasses, maybe they all have that little imperfection) !
Later in the evening we had fizzy wine in a glass as we ate el fresco :)
Wonderful composition. Love the rich colors, the perfect array of bubbles, the imperfections that are not really imperfect, the undulating lines of water; they all combine to create a mood that shouts "summer" A definite fav. I salute you for grabbing the moment despite a dying battery!
Next comes the hosepipe ban and drouht I suppose....Great image!
