The things we do for a photo ...Cala Mesquida beach from the sea

The things we do for a photo ...this is Cala Mesquida beach, Mallorca, Spain, shot from the sea !!!

What you have to appreciate is that I waded waist hight in the sea to try and create an 'arty shot'. My love affair with my little Panasonic TZ7 could easily have ended if I got it wet or a suddenly lost my footing !!!!

It's quite a drop from the edge of the beach to the sea and I was trying to emphasis this with my composition.

Note the footprints dotted along the edge of the beach drop (all made by me in an attempt to make the shot more interesting.

The beach goes quite a way back but the low POV does not show this.

If you exit left of the frame there are some fantastic cliff walks.

If you exit the beach just to the left of the sand dunes, there are some fantastic walks through the pine forests (a heaven for twitchers, because we saw and heard some nice birds).

great shot Phil - this is reminiscent of a shot I did to look into the front of a boat house - wading in freezing cold water - this looks far more inviting - love the blue tones
