Trent Reflections by phil_howcroft

Trent Reflections

This is a reflection on the River Trent in Newark

The red reflection is a lifebuoy that's on the side of the wharf and the white pointed reflection is flagpole that sits on top of a building (no flag unfortunately as this would have added to the composition)

This was a hard shot to capture as i had to lean over a rail on a path that runs under 'trent bridge' ........'newark trent bridge' as opposed to 'the trent bridge'

Three good things:

(1) Went to Waitrose......always good for goodies

(2) 5 mile walk in the afternoon taking in the autumn sun and unexpected / unplanned blackberrying session

(3) Bolton Wanderers won away !!
Three great things & the football is looking up!!!! Hasn't it been a wonderful day, all that sun when we aren't used to it ! My daughter was suppose to have walked Morcambe Bay today with Cedric Robinson but was cancelled because of soggy sand! Big disappointment as it would have been lovely. I like your reflections & agree Union Jack would have been good !

Your Newark is much more picturesque than the one in New Jersey in the U.S.! Love the feel of an impressionist watercolor. The red is a perfect accent.

I love this, the reflections are superb and the colours lovely. The flagpole refection looks as if it could be on top of a church? Nice that the Trent appears to be so clean.

great shot Phil, I've been experimenting with these kinds of shots on my local stretch of water, not quite got what I'm looking for yet...not really sure what I'm looking for ! - love the ripples and that spire...great job
