Table, chairs , table decoration and a leaf

This is a shot from Sunday !

We went to a wedding fair with my daughter and her fiancée. The fair was at the hotel where the "wedding breakfast" and "evening do" are being held (wedding at St. Mary's church)

This is a table and chairs on the hotel terrace, overlooking the garden. The table decoration was placed on the table by me......the autumn leaf was already there.

I was trying to be artistic with the table decoration and nice background.

Alternate pics of the venue (when we booked it) are shown below :

Now.....are you sure the leaf was there, we don't want it to look arranged!! Oooo so exciting, so how is the poor photographer?

@fannyb thanks fanny , i did not notice the leaf until I loaded the image onto my computer ! My daughter has not booked a photographer , prices start at about £1000-00 and some of the work they have seen is not that good. She says there's enough people with decent photography skills in the family ...me , my brother, her fiancée's father.... to get a decent set of images !!! I'll be FOB and photographer in 1 day ...lots of responsibility !!!

Once the New Year comes the time will fly by !!! I loved going to wedding fairs when our daughter got married & we were very involved with both our sons weddings too in fact I booked & arranged everything at this end when the NZ two came back to be married, marquee, band, the lot! Some of the best photos are taken informally & I would certainly hesitate to spend that amount of money"! The one thing we never regretted was having a wedding video & have watched them again & again! Put a throw away camera on each table & let the guests take some photos! I like your arranging!

@phil_howcroft lots of responsibility but you'll love it, the day will flash by like your own probably did!! Too right about the photographer, a vast amount of money with all of you being so good, anyway the best shots are normally the informal ones!

Maybe you should do wedding photos as an aside..!

Thats really interesting and thank you so much, never knew what vignette meant!! So, sometimes it enhances a shot and sometimes it doesn't?!! Confusing this photography lark!! Happy days! :))

How exciting Phil, not long now! You should most definitely do the photographs - and as much of all the other things you can manage - yourself. I hope you are going to include Ruby too, with matching trimmings etc!!

I love the reflection of the leaf! Most wedding photographers suck in my opinion, You get much better pics from people who know the family and can bring out the personalities of those they are photographing, not to mention steering clear of the corny poses. Can you tell its one of my issues Phil? lol

Thanks for pointing out the leaf. It is so perfect along with its reflection on the table. I might have missed it without your comment.
