Pyracantha Berries On Our Decking ! by phil_howcroft

Pyracantha Berries On Our Decking !

These are pyracantha berries that have fallen off the 'pyracantha bushes' that climb a fence next to our decking.

The little berries are stuck in the grooves of the decking.

A couple of winters ago a thistle thrush family devoured the berries in the snow.

This year some pigeons are eating them !!!!

It's quite an abstract image...the bit of green in the top left corner is the one of the bushes .....the bit of orange in the top right hand corner is a couple of bricks that wedge down a cover that errrrrrrr....... covers a nice bistro table and chairs.

Awesome

Love the angle of the perspective. Also the wonderful color contrast.

Cool shot - I thought it was apples at first! I bought a photo card yesterday of three redwings each with a pyracantha berry in their beaks. It's an amazing shot by Jeff Harrison. Try his website out at jeffharrisonphotography.co.uk

I like the pic and I hope the berries stay outside and don't get traipsed into the house!
