Service With A Smile (Ilford Delta 100)

I've found a new plug in for GIMP, it's called G'MIC.

It's a fantastic filter, it can replicate all types of colour and monochrome film. It has lots of versatility for monochrome and colour manipulation. It can put nice frames on your pictures. It's a cracking bit of software.

I think I'm going to do a week of monochrome conversions, using this plug in. I will be picking a few images from recent weeks and seeing how they convert.

Remember GIMP and this plug in open source, which means it is free software.

This is my first attempt at the software and is replicating Ilford Delta 100 film.

The image is a lady serving food at the Nottingham Goose Fair earlier this month.

The following thread has links to the G'MIC plugin

Gracious, what a happy face! I guess she has a headache! The light on the face is fairly dark.

@swilde thanks Sue :)

@maggiemae Maggie, I think the 'dark' face might be down to fake tan or a bit too much foundation !

@fivealive Many thanks 'Five' :)
