Up In Gedling Country Park Retro Mono Style

I've tried to create a retro mono style to this with deep black shadows.

Ruby, Jane and Claire half way up Gedling Country Park on a windy and cold Sunday afternoon

You can see a bt of workings from the old mine down at the bottom of the hills

Post processed in GIMP, G'MIC (Agfa film emulation), contrast adjustments and a crop

Late with uploading , so will do a catchup tomorrow

Great b&w

Nicely done. You seem to be developing a preference to B&W in a lot of your shot Phil.

Wonderful lighting and image! What a wonderful place to walk. I love how all the bare trees stand out and look like sticks. Your shadows are lovely Phil! Nicely done in mono! Fav for me!

Looks great! Nice tones but what really catches my eye is how the walkers seem to be leaning into their stride at almost exactly the same angle as the trees are growing - makes it look like they're all on the move. Maybe they are ents. ;)

Good shadows here so there would be some sun if not being warm - they are well dressed for the walk!

Love the tones on your family. Beautiful shot of this amazing country park.

I love the clarity on this shot, and the way the figures and the dog seem to be straining against the icy winds.
