Three shades of green by phil_howcroft

Three shades of green

Time for a splash of colour, in what has been quite a monochrome or low colour set of shots recently !

Three wheelie bins, spotted on my work lunchtime walk in Basford, Nottingham

Although who the three bins belong to is a bit of a mystery as the houses are unoccupied and have been so for ages (I'm sure they were in this state when I started my job two years ago) !!

Strange how they are all different shades of green

I tried to correct my converging verticals ...just about succeeded

Green bin day but they must all be empty! Good spotting Phil. Empty houses for all that time...I thought the country was supposed to be short of housing!

@happypat thanks Pat, I assume it may be a "developer" who has either gone bust or is sitting on their assets !

@phil_howcroft I am colour testing green emulsion for our bedroom but don't fancy any of these greens!

Different shades of green - how much blue or yellow has gone into the colour! It probably costs more to renovate these than to pull them down and build others!

Nice comp and splash of green. Yes, they are all different colors Phil. WOnder who uses them? The windows and brick work are great. Thank you for all your lovely and fun comments on my alphabet series. Will finish it up with tonight's posting (for tomorrow). We head out on Friday and will probably have little or no service.

Clever shot. Love the title! I agree with Allison, the geometry of this shot is well composed.

Well spotted, Phil. Lovely shot.

A great shot from what, at first glance, might seem an unlikely subject. I like the balance in the shot. I've only ever seen green bins the colour of the one on the right!

Yes I think I'm just into year 5 now too Phil! Frightening! Shame these houses couldn't be used to house someone in need.

Very curious. Green bins for empty houses... Nice job correcting for converging verticals! Looks fabulous.
