Our next door neighbours son Michael and his family came to visit his mum and dad this weekend.
Michael has a rescue greyhound named Axel (or Axl - not too sure if it is the guns and roses version or the traditional version of the name)
Karen (Michael's mum) was looking out for me and Ruby when we came back from our lunch time walk and let Axel out of the house to come and say hello to Ruby.
This is Ruby and Axel posing outside the entrance to our house. Ruby is looking attentively at Michael because he has a dog treat in his hand whereas Axel is actually paying attention to the camera.
Notice the significant difference in height between a whippet and greyhound :)
Oh and notice too we still have our geraniums flowering in our entrance (in a sheltered position, they survive all winter unless we get a really really bad frost)
Oh and that's Jane, "Take a picture but make sure you don't get me on it", holding Ruby's lead.
I have some geraniums outside my door, not sure how well they will do as it is less sheltered. Such beautiful dogs. A friend of mine has a rescued, retired greyhound too.
This is so sweet....a Christmas boyfriend for Ruby! Amazing difference in height but they both have the same sweet faces. Ruby is looking very stylish! Some very smart wellington so in the background, are they yours Phil?
So Axel's a poser and Ruby loves her tummy. Interesting discrepancy in their priorities. :-D
Great pov, can't beat getting down to their level for making impact in a photo.
Good on Ruby for keeping her eye on the prize :)
@maggiemae not too sure about behaving maggie, Axel was a true gentleman, Ruby a bit hyper !!!
