rhubarb flower head

This has never happened before, our rhubarb has a flower head on it !

Hey Google "Rhubarb flower head" i said.

Google said cut it off immediately, which we duly did . The stem was hollow.

The rhubarb is probably 20 years old and has never flowered like this before !
