Marley and Tiny Tim by phil_howcroft

Marley and Tiny Tim

"Hi, is it OK if I take a photo of your horses?"

"Yes, of course"

"I'm going to move in front of them and get low down. Is that OK?"

"Yes, that's fine, we can make their ears upright for you"

"Thanks, that will look good"

"What are their names?"

"Marley and Tiny Tim"

"As in Bob Marley?"

"No, he doesn't have that personality. Marley from Christmas Carol"

"Ahh yes, As in Christmas Carol"

"Thank you officers , have a nice afternoon"

Marley and Tiny Tim were on Duty at the Toughsgeet community Stadium, Bolton , before todays game versus Hudderfield Town.

The Wanderers let 22K fans down again , being humiliated 4-0

I got a nice photo though !

Great pov

Fav. Your choice of pov is magnificent in this picture. The Bolton Wanderers I knew of do not exist any more, Phil, however much the club tries. Nowadays, football, and probably everything, depends on who has the money to move on. Sad for you, a strong Bolton supporter.

How fun! Especially with those manually operated upright ears! Fav

What a terrific pov. Did you feel threatened at all?
September 15th, 2024
Lol - terrific POV - but how on earth do they make them have their ears upright!?

Great pov. Have never seen the eye shields before - not that I seen many police horses.
Shame about the score.

@busylady Judith , no I felt safe , I knew the horses were in the safe hands and control of the police officer. I did ask before I approached and knelt down. The horses have seen a lot worse than a pensioner with a camera !!!

@carole_sandford thanks Carole , I don't think many Police forces have horses any more . I know Nottinghamshire no longer have any !!!
