Sunflower Fire by phil_sandford

Sunflower Fire

I've been lent a Vivitar 100mm f3.5 macro EF lens and have been playing with the sunflowers I bought last week.

WOW 😮

The lens is a bit agricultural on the EOS 6D, especially on auto focus (sounds like the gear box on a series 3 Land Rover) but set to manual focus it comes into its own.

There is no cropping with this photo, this is straight out of the camera. Think my work colleague may just not see this lens again.

Superb macro shot! You have some nice friends mate :)

@paul10 @ludwigsdiana @brennieb @carole_sandford @carole_sandford @suzanne234 @fbailey @louannwarren @happysnaps @laurieewilson Thank you all for your comments and for taking this to the PP & TP. I saw this shot as I bought the bunch in the supermarket, this was the one flower that was deformed and displaying totally vertical. Driving back to my accomodation, I knew exactly how I was going to take it (brea board on the cooker, open extractor fan, turn on the extractor light, stand on a stool - that was all in my head as I drove (365 is taking over my life)
