@louannwarren said recently that my Dahlia beds must be a riot of colour. Due to my leaving last year’s in the ground and not lifting them, as those of you who follow my project know, I bought a load of replacements. All of those left in the ground survived and came up again, which meant I had to find room for this lot dahlia problem and I planted them all across the border to the rear of my garden, in clumps.
Having rather stupidly not labled them when I planted them out in the greenhouse, I had no real clue as to what I was planting, but it turned out I got lucky with the sizes, as for most I got the small ones at the front of the border and tall ones at the rear (well, ish)
Here’s a small section of the garden, next to the ‘unknown tree’ and the colour we see every morning/day through our kitchen window.
The entire rear border, and the colour we're seeing now, should still be visible when I post my next 'garden' shot on the 3rd Friday of the month.
