One of the last Tulips to still be in bloom in the garden; they were a surprise this year, as I knew I'd bought hundreds of Tulips bulbs, with hundreds of daffodil bulbs also, I'd mixed them up in buckets and planted them all across the front of the border; then I'd forgotten about them, so each colour, each variety, was a pleasant surprise.
The expert gardeners will be saying to lift them for nextr year; well I don't lift my Dahlias so won't be lifting the Tulips.
Well if its any consolation I never lift tulip bulbs - what a waste of time!! :-) Would you believe I'm growing dahlias for the first time this year and I've put them in big pots so I don't have to lift, just put in the greenhouse. @carole_sandford I think many of us are showing those aging signs!!
