Mum's camellia

I try and visit my parents every week. They are in their 90s and nothing pleases my Mum more than to take us around the garden. Today she ducked into the camellias and came back with this and explained to me what a "classic" camellia was. This is it.

My grandmother had a red camellia in her backyard, it grew to an enormous height. They really are a beautiful flower and this one is so perfect - not a blemish on it. Love the colour, too.
