quick al fresco lunch by quietpurplehaze

quick al fresco lunch

I'd just like to say that
a - I don't usually drink at lunchtime
b - there was barely a 1/2 glass of rosé left
c - the men in our house don't really like rosé
d - I didn't eat all the manchego cheese - just nearly
e - on a photographic level, I took 2 shots and this one shows the colour of the rosé and the food in a way the other did not
f - Jinks is now snoring crashed out on the cool tiled floor in the hall
g - I have to keep awake to do some French prep....
h - nearly forgot to say that I swam for a good 1/2 hour this morning which = around 1/2 mile at my speed
Hazel - you really made me laugh! I love this. Great photograph and a wonderful record of a day spent. By the way - I too have French prep!!

@tishpics Well, I thought everybody would be thinking 'Oh no, not another food pic from Hazel, so decided to add some text.' Hope you enjoy your French - it's one of my absolute passions & I just want to finish some answers to questions on 'La Mare au Diable' which is being presented by a member of our French Lit group within Winchester U3A - we take it in turns to introduce a book and it works brilliantly. I'm going outside to sit in the sun again.

Sounds as though we are about the same standard. Project 365 good topic for French conversation!

Something else we have in common - apart from the photography! Do you have a favourite author?
March 22nd, 2012
Anna Gavalda, Amelie Nothomb and Fred Vargas who writes superb thrillers. And you?

Hazel a lovely, healthy lunch which = 1/2 glass rose exactly. If the men in the family don't like rose = more for you at dinner or tomorrow. If it had been me I would have eaten all the manchego cheese and then bragged about it. ha ha. Because you did all that exercise I'm going to let you have another glass of Rose for an excellent photograph that is a representation of your day. Cheers

@tishpics Thanks for sharing your favourites - I only know Nothomb so shall look out for the others. Mine (some!) - Dai Sijie, Irene Némirovsky, Romain Gary, Sébastien Japrisot - but you have given me an idea.....

@doblaine David, you are soooo kind! I only left a little bit of manchego!! And sadly it was the last of the rosé, but a good Cotes du Rhone last evening with the pork stir fry that Neil cooked...............
