Oh very well spotted! I love this, you have captured it beautifully, the papery bark which the light is shining through, the darker more solid trunk. Super! I love this kind of subject.

That's something completely different and quiet interesting. the bark looks like ancient scrolls left out in the weather. I like the perspective and the subject.

@creativeamateur @doblaine I might post another shot of the tree bark (as the weather is so foul here!). I found quite a large piece on the ground & it was not papery but strong & almost leathery. I wanted to bring it out but thought I could be accused of pulling it off the tree trunk!
