Poor chap he does look scruffy - moulting is a tough time for birds. I don't think feeding him chocolate cake will help - I've been eating it for years and I haven't grown a single feather! Nice shot.
@glenmoor Thanks for comments. Aha - so not a baby then?! We ate all the chocolate cake ourselves - (and I definitely prefer you without feathers...........)
@pyrrhula Thank you. This shot was a gift as the robin just appeared on the wall as we were having coffee and cake. I like robins in the autumn when they have a very distinctive little song - often heard in our garden.
@doblaine Thank you - I realised afterwards that I was subliminally influenced by your blackbird and hoping for a swan with a bright orange beak in our walk by the river - but I got a little bird instead!
@quietpurplehaze We always have to dream big to get small surprises - even if our "big bird" dream turns into an orange smashed wren. The photo is just as rewarding and beautiful.
@doblaine David, you make the nicest comments! (I'm not joking.) If I encounter a swan with a beautiful orange beak after orange week, I shall post it anyway, of course! (now you've given me the idea)
love you capture and his ( her) pose on the bricks
