I crouched down to get an eye-level shot of the yellow ragwort with the sky in the background and suddenly found that I had toppled backwards and was sitting in the long grass. Jinks came to see what I was doing so I included him in the next photo. (So much for puddle-shooting {@judithg} which I was thinking of trying next!)
Hmmm - maybe practice in private!! I do like that fact that our canine friends come to us when we fall over - I went flying as a result of of wonky pavement and dropped the lead - Monty stopped charging off to the park and came to give me a quizzical look instead!
@judithg That was solicitous of Monty & now you mention it, each time I've done something silly like drop the lead or slip over, Jinks does stop and wait. (He doesn't go off lead as he's just TOO naughty!)
Yes, all my dogs have always come to peer down at me when flat on the ground - or in a ditch as once happened! Great shot of Jinx and I do recognise that look of amused pity!
@gnilrets Well he was not so sweet today after I'd given him a nice trim and groom. He almost immediately went into the garden and
rolled gleefully in the 'calling card' left on our grass by a fox or cat. So then he had to have a bath,

Love you pov. in this pic . same level as the dog , makes the pic very nice and interesting.
Thanks everyone for your lovely and encouraging comments. Jinks is indeed very sweet - when he's not being a rascal!
