points of light

Votive candles in Chichester Cathedral. This was a good opportunity to try different lenses and I liked the capture with the 50mm 1.8.

The Sony a6000 is the first time I've owned a camera with interchangeable lenses and, with it, I've learnt much more about photography.
A wonderful capture of the candle light and the reflection

Lovely capture, interesting that the flames go in different directions.

We are like candles, we flicker into being, burn bright, then are extinguished...

@will_wooderson

Life would be a lot easier if everybody acknowledged that I think!

This is really effective. Interested you managed to keep your ISO low and a decent shutter speed in what was presumably quite a dark space.

What a great shot. I like @will_wooderson point of view on us being like a candle. Love it Hazel.

@dolphin

It's the 50mm 1.8 'portrait' lens which delivered the goods as I took some shots with my short zoom lens and they were not effective. This is sooc apart from the obvious crop.
