through the archway by quietpurplehaze

through the archway

The more I visit any place, the more photo opportunities I find there. This is a glimpse of the Brothers' quarters at St Cross.

I still have some difficulty getting good detail in both the foreground and background in these 'looking-through' shots.

If anyone has any useful tips to share, please do.
Lovely composition Hazel

I love the composition. You could take two photos and stitch them together.

Lovely composition and the details look fine to me, well done.

I really like the point of view.

I love your composition Hazel. And you have done really well capturing the details! I think 'pro photographers' usually take more than 2 photos of different exposures and stack them, that is why they get more details!

@dishaparekh176

Thanks, that's interesting. I don't think I have stacking possibilities on my software and am a bit anti too much processing but good to know how it's done!

@quietpurplehaze Haha exactly the same story with me! I am very against HDR images for the same reasons - 1. I don't like processing to make images look fake, and 2 - I don't think I could ever get good enough at doing it as well as some people on here do! I love your image because it looks natural they way our eyes would see it!

@dishaparekh176

Thank you! I like images to look natural, unless they are obviously meant to be otherwise (if that makes sense). I do occasionally use a bit of hdr to make an image look natural (if that makes sense!)
