Some of the trees at Exbury are covered with so much lichen that it's like blossom.
Lovely detail and composition Hazel, not easy to achieve when aiming for the sky:)

No not at all, Julie (I don't do April Fool!). There is a group of trees near the entrance to the little steam railway at Exbury Gardens which are covered with loads of this bushy lichen and it looks like blossom. There are 3 types of lichen and this is the third and the one which shows that the air is the purest possible in the location in which it grows.
