Everything is always beautifully organized, labelled, change available and a calculator for anyone numerically challenged - I am, but can manage the money for eggs. I noticed the straw chicken is wearing red - a hat maybe, but in the wrong place!
Lovely composition Hazel. I buy my eggs in the village where I work because I can see all the hens running around in the field and the eggs are lovely. They ar £1 for 6 so it's easy - no calculator required! You just leave your money in the box and help yourself. Unfortunately, they have had people who help themselves not only to the eggs but the money too! It's disgusting when people do that. Fortunately, it doesn't happen often
That sounds a good idea. We used to have chickens at home when I was a child but I couldn't imagine having any with Jinks around - they'd be too scared to lay eggs!
Apparently some people have not paid for eggs as there was a notice to that effect. There is CCTV in the hut where the eggs are sold. The system of helping yourself and putting the money in a box is the same here.
