'flowers and leaves': the Christmas poinsettia........

.......is doing brilliantly this year. I'm never too sure which are petals and which are leaves on a poinsettia.
Nice shot, hazel. I always wonder about that, too,but as long as the plant understands I suppose that's all that matters.

Lovely shot. Ours is still going strong. All the bright red bits are leaves. The flowers are the little insignificant bits in the centre. Saw one of these in Egypt and it was a bush about six feet tall.

We have a special name for it. ; bladeren ( the green leafs) and schutbladeren , (the red leafs ) They both are leafs .
The flowers of the Poinsettia are very small ( Not to be seen on this pic )
You`re doing a good job with this plant

@pyrrhula @purplehaze12

Thank you both for the information. The flowers (I know what they are now!) have all dropped off this poinsettia a long time ago. It was just a cheap plant (about £3) bought with the weekly supermarket shopping early in December last year. I've been lucky a previous year with a poinsettia and it just sometimes seems that you get a plant which lasts well.
